Not sure if you're still using this blog, but where did you get this artwork from? I love it, and I'd like to find out more about it...

Hi Andy. Glad you like it. I've not got any tattoo's and am considering getting one, but it needs extremely careful and prolonged thought as you can't change your mind!

I've started collecting images of designs I like - this particular one I found on a Tumblr blog I follow. I reversed the image.

Unfortunately, from what I've seen, I can't locate the originator of the design - I'd always prefer to give attribution where possible :)

I just a Google image search (I uploaded the image for Google to locate similar ones...) and it managed to locate it on a blog which appears to show the owner...

Hawthorn - thanks for your reply..

I agree, it's definitely something that one should think over seriously before having it engraved onto the body.

I would like to find out the meaning of the tree, spiritually.

I have had a great few years, really getting to know myself and finding out my beliefs. I'm looking for ideas for a tattoo, I'm turning 30, and I really would like to find something to remind myself how important these years were, as well as a reminder of how a person evolves spiritually and actually politically too.

Thanks again for any input..

Keep walking

Spiritually, it can mean many things to many people. I read it as 'As above, so below' a sort of western 'yin and yang' - whilst they may be opposites, they are part of the whole. I find it as important to look inwards as outwards as that's where most of my spiritual development has come from. I have a long way to go and I need to spend more time on myself, but I'm getting there.

The tree, for me, is also a connection to nature. We are a part of nature, not apart from it, and trees mean a great deal to me.
